Early Learning Initiative (ELI) Appointed as Lead Agency for the Grangegorman ABC Programme

ABC Grangegorman is delighted to formally share that as of January 2025, the Early Learning Initiative (ELI) has assumed the responsibility of Lead Agency for the Grangegorman Area-Based Childhood (ABC) Programme.

The Early Learning Initiative, which is part of the National College of Ireland was developed to address the problem of educational underachievement in marginalised communities. Building upon tried and tested models of early years’ intervention, their mission is to work with communities in areas of greatest need, to provide world-class parent and child learning support programmes.  ELI’s long term vision is to be at the forefront in enabling children, young people and their families to develop the dispositions, skills and knowledge needed to achieve their educational, career and life goals.

The Early Learning Initiative has a long history of achieving their goals through supporting children, young people and their families in collaboration with local communities and partner organisations.  They will continue this approach to their work with ABC Grangegorman to implement and sustain the work of the programme, thereby maintaining continued access to vital early intervention programmes for our local children, young people and families.

The Early Learning Initiative looks forward to strengthening the relationship with ABC Grangegorman Consortium members as we move forward.

Every child deserves a champion; an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best they can possibly be.
