Consortium Meeting

Our Consortium met on Thursday, 30th September. The agenda covered news and updates from our programmes, a discussion around our priorities for the programme as we move forward, an update from the Consortium Model Sub-Group and a look ahead to Budget 2022.

Small groups met to discuss the overall objectives of our programme, as part of our review of our Consortium Agreement. The following changes were suggested:

When looking ahead to Budget 2022 and what the priorities for our community are, the following themes and areas of work mentioned included:

We discussed issues raised as part of the Consortium Model Sub-Group including improving communications, creating better connections between our programmes and having more dedicated time for development work and new ideas. We talked about the need for ring-fencing time and ensuring development work is resourced as part of our programmes and across organisations. We looked at how to commit to this kind of work over several years to see the impact. It was suggested that perhaps working thematically could support this development work, perhaps with a ‘lead person’ in each area. The other point raised was around branding and seeing our ABC programme as a ‘whole’ instead of lots of smaller, separate pieces. Small changes like including the ABC logo on any event, programme or funding provided by ABC is a possible way forward.
