We love Christmas in the north west inner city!
Our programmes and sub-groups have been very busy in recent weeks preparing for the Christmas season with a particular focus on the children and families most in need over the holidays.
In our Doodle Den sessions, Santa came to visit and brought presents for the children.
Our annual Winter Wonderland event, coordinated by the Children and Youth Action Group (CYAG), was a great success. This fabulous event takes place over several days and allows children, who might not get the opportunity, to experience the joys of Christmas with art activities, workshops, visits to Santa and lots of fun. Although we had smaller numbers this year to help us manage physical distancing, we were able to target children with additional needs and children in care and the feedback has been very positive.
Across our community, our Children and Youth Action Group (CYAG) have coordinated food vouchers for families experiencing food poverty this season. These vouchers were distributed through Consortium member organisations and were very gratefully received.
